BLACK MAGIC,WITCHCRAFT, OCCULTISM & MURDERS

The revival of 'modern' witchcraft, paganism, black magic, occultism, and certain other so-called 'New Age' practices for frequently commercial reasons, 'political' reasons, and to act as a cover for sexual, drug, and other excesses frequently leads to crimes, and to the specific crime of murder. Of course, such crimes have been with mankind for a long time as the history of occultism, actual or spurious, will show. The cult aspects of all these activities undertaken for all kinds of reasons, but mostly to gain power or control of people,etc. are a special study in themselves. Not all cults are insidious,destructive, drug-oriented, or more than certain fantasies acted out in a specific environment or 'theater'. These same 'subjects' of occultism and related items often serve as cover for spy-activities by various agencies but that will be dealt with under another blog.

NEW HAMPSHIRE'S GREAT SERIAL KILLER

Nowadays, the fascination of 'serial' killers almost matches the interest in the often fanatical,ruthless rulers and dictators of history all of which are 'KILLERS' of some sort. New Hampshire has its onw famous serial killer, recently, though I have not read the book entirely, covered in a book on Chicago where his major crimes are said to have taken place. HERMAN WEBSTER MUDGETT, a native of Gilmanton, New Hampshire, also a town famous for PEYTON PLACE's Grace Metalious, was a serial killer who may have killed more that the twenty-seven people he is considered to have at least killed, most of them at the infamous "TORTURE CASTLE' which was build in 1893 in Chicago.

ARTICLE IN LATEST EAGLE TIMES

The EAGLE TIMES(Sunday edition of the newly revived newspaper) carried an article on the VALLEY MURDERS and claims the 'heat is on' to catch or identify the serial killer or perhaps killers by the special task force for 'cold crimes'. While this endeavor is to be lauded, it comes far too late to produce anything really significant because some of the players in this are dead. Unless the old evidence has some things, especially DNA, it will require covering the old suspects which were extremely numerous. The exact number of such I cannot remember but it might have been up in nineties, let us say, 100. If photos can reveal anything, provided such were actually taken at the crime scenes and of the victims, then there may be a slight hope to solve these. The treatment of these crimes was sporadic and also the notion that 'one victim survived' might be misleading and even unrelated. Memories of things grow dim over the years and those who are dead are still crying for justice. Perhaps the murders still unsolved and considered 'non-related' were actual experiments and preparations for the 'real thing' but only the murderer(s) or killer(s) can answer that I suspect that their silence will be forever, taken to their graves.

THE MANSON TRIBE

I don't suppose many people know that some former members of the MANSON TRIBE or CULT spent time here in New Hampshire and one even spent time on the Streets of Claremont, apparently. Now one of this tribe who tried to 'assassinate' the late President Reagan has been released recetnly.

THE TWIN STATE VALLEY MURDERS

I have decided to expand the topic I started in HAPHAZARD HAUNTINGS & OTHER ODDITIES on the murders of several women in the Twin State Valley and to deal with it here since it needs a separate blog. New England, and New Hampshire and Vermont in particular, have had their share of murders and murderers, which needs to be mentioned as many have ignored this or forgotten about them .Then there are the murders in Massachusetts and other New England States and perhaps I shall bring these up when I run out of other material.

THE MURDERERS AMONG US

This blog is about crime,killers, and related topics. According to some writers and some statistical information, though it might be higher or lower, ONE IN EVERY TEN PEOPLE YOU MEET OR PASS BY IS A MURDERER! If, as now being advocated, more criminals are poured into the street, we can perhaps expect more murders,especially if 'reformed' murderers are released Of course, this is not all I want to say on this subject but will continue things later. SOME OF THE NICEST PEOPLE YOU EVER MEET ARE MURDERERS! I took a course at UNH in criminology, which was taught by Stuart Palmer of the Sociology Department. I also took a course on Anthropology from him. But the field of sociology as taught then did not interest me as much as psychology and philosophy. Anyway, we went on a field trip to the NH State Prison where we did see some killers among the convicts. Years later, when I became a Corrections Officer at the Sullivan County House of Correction in Unity, I again had opportunity to visit the State Prison for a Correctional Officers Course and again another time. Professor Palmer had a theory that most murderers had been frustrated and killed out of that frustration but while this seemed possible to me, I did not accept this entirely and still don't. It seems to me there are other factors.
